Apple broke sales records in 2014 with bigger iPhones, then satisfied long-time fans with a Retina iMac and an updated iPad—all great products, but we’re looking ahead to 2015, when we expect to see even greater releases out of Cupertino.

Apple Watch

Apple’s most anticipated product of 2015 (http://www.macworld.com/article/2842128/expect-the-apple-watch-to-launch-next-spring.html) is one that’s already seen the light of day: the Apple Watch (http://www.macworld.com/article/2605084/what-you-need-to-know-about-apple-watch-apples-attempt-to-remake-wearables.html). Introduced alongside the iPhone 6 and Apple Pay in September, Apple’s own smartwatch (http://www.macworld.com/article/2604309/meet-apple-watch-the-new-apple-smartwatch-with-a-clever-new-navigation-scheme.html) will offer notifications, fitness features (http://www.macworld.com/article/2605140/5-things-the-apple-watch-can-and-cant-do.html), not to mention advanced haptics (http://www.macworld.com/article/2690729/taptic-haptics-and-the-body-fantastic-the-real-apple-watch-revolution.html) and Siri on your wrist (http://www.macworld.com/article/2605890/why-apple-changed-my-mind-about-smartwatches.html), via a paired iPhone (http://www.macworld.com/article/2689362/apple-watch-leans-on-the-iphone-for-app-management-and-heavy-lifting.html). Apple’s WatchKit SDK (http://www.macworld.com/article/2849290/hints-of-apple-watch-apps-emerge-with-watchkit-launch-simplicity-light-interactions.html), in developers’ hands now, will result in “glances” and small apps that complement fuller apps on your iPhone. Controls for a music player is one example, not to mention controls for the array of HomeKit-enabled devices (http://www.macworld.com/article/2834588/no-new-apple-tv-heres-why-we-must-watch-and-wait.html) we expect to hear about in January at CES.

To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here[/url]
