Title: Error: Not Found
Post by: Harry Versluijs on January 25, 2015, 03:35:22 pm
When shutting down my Macbook OSX 10.9.5 an install window appears that reads:
to cancel installation click abort.
There are 2 buttons: install and abort.

I have nothing to install, had everything I don't want/need uninstalled using CleanMyMac2.

When I click abort the laptop shuts down normally and starts up normally, it does not seem to influence performance.
To make sure I used disk repair, there were some minor issues but after repair the disk appears to be ok.

When I click Install I get a window that reads:

was not found on this server.

I made a photo of the screen, this message appears only a few seconds, then it disappears and the laptop shuts down.

Photo included in attachment.

Does any one know what this is and how to remove it?

Found it. After some searching in log in items I found an icon with a box InstallerS.
First I disabled it and restarted. No message, logging out and in again went smoothly.
So I removed the item.
Simple problem maybe but I'm happy I found it.
