Twitter's official app picks up group messaging on the iPad

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">Twitter for iPhone and iPad has been updated, adding better direct message support on the iPad, including group messages and private tweet sharing.</p> <p>Twitter's (http://www.imore.com/twitter) direct messaging features just got a major boost in the official app on the iPad. On the iPad, users can now utilize Twitter's group messaging features, which rolled out to the iPhone (http://www.imore.com/twitter-rolling-out-update-introduce-group-messaging-and-video-support) earlier this year.<!--break--> The update also brings support for sharing tweets privately.</p> <p>You can check out all of the changes in Twitter 6.29 below:</p>

<p>This update includes minor improvements.</p> <p>iPad Only: This update includes improvements to Direct Messages. Now, you can share Tweets, have group conversations, and scroll through more of your message history.</p>
