Apple launches website to teach you all about OS X 10.11 El Capitan

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">Apple has posted its official site to preview OS X 10.11 El Capitan, highlighting what's coming in the new update this fall.</p> <p>Apple has updated its OS X website with information about the upcoming OS X 10.11 El Capitan (http://www.imore.com/os-x-1011). Coming later this year, El Capitan will feature a number of enhancements both to user experience and performance. Among these improvements are a smarter, more contextual Spotlight (http://www.imore.com/spotlight-gets-contextual-search-and-more-os-x-el-capitan), a redesigned Notes experience (http://www.imore.com/add-photos-create-checklists-draw-sketches-and-more-notes-ios-9), and new tools in Safari (http://www.imore.com/safari-os-x-el-capitan-will-allow-sites-be-pinned-tab-bar).<!--break--></p> <p>As with iOS 9 (http://www.imore.com/ios-9), El Capitan will also feature transit directions in the Maps application. Photos is also getting an upgrade, letting you use third-party editing extensions and better library management.</p> <p>Chinese users are getting a new system font called PingFang, designed to be readable in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. Keyboard input and trackpad handwriting have also both been improved. For Japanese users, text input from a keyboard will now be converted live.
