Title: Bootable USB for MAC OS X works on all machines except the one I want
Post by: riaaneloff on July 15, 2015, 06:08:25 pm
Hi folks,

So I have two Bootable USB sticks with which to install MAC OS X on a PC.  They both boot when inserted into any of my two desktop machines, and I have the option to install.  They both also boot up my wife's COMPAQ laptop.  Yet, the machine for which I wanted it (my Mecer laptop), simply does not even blink an eye!  It will boot a Win Bootable USB, but, when I place the MAC OS X bootables in it, it does not boot from there, it simply continues to boot back to its installed OS.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Things I've checked:
The USB sticks work for bootup (two desktops and a laptop)
The manufacturer has no "lock" or restriction (confirmed that any OS may be installed)
The Laptop is able to boot from a Win 7 Bootable USB

Mecer info:
Model W150NH
i7
8 Gig RAM
Intel & nVidea GPU

Thanks folks
