Title: Think I have found a way to steal new apps off ipod touch!!!
Post by: chasenyadown on January 21, 2008, 11:56:36 am
Ok so I posted a thread in the hardware section (oops, my bad, it's 5am sorry mods: http://hackintosh.org/index.php/topic,114.0.html) Anyhow I downloaded a program call Total commander for Win XP, and I wanted to see what it would do for the new ipod 1.1.3 firmware with the January Update and it does (to some degree) allow you into the files in the ipod, so anyhow after I  checked that out I plugged in my 1.1.2 iphone and started taking the 3rd party apps and putting them in separate folders on the hdd of the pc. (The goal here was to turn on SSH via iToggle in hopes that I could gain access to the ipod and jack the January updates and throw them on the 1.1.2 iphone, mainly the maps app)

anyhow the files are all on the touch (iToggle.app) and the touch is still running fine, but no icons are appearing, perhaps someone might have a suggestion to this?
