Apple Offers 3rd Gen iPod Shuffle Headphone Replacement

If you're rocking a third generation iPod Shuffle, you might have noticed your headphone/remote combo isn't performing as advertised. Do not fret fellow consumers--Apple's here for you, and they've brought you some replacement earbuds. It would seem that a "very small percentage of iPod shuffle owners" have experienced the failure of the stock earphones that came with their diminutive music player. If your heaphone's controls have been non-responsive, allow for unrequested voice control, work intermittently, or if the enjoyment of your tunes has been Shanghaied by random volume increases or decreases, Apple's got your back.If you insist on using stock headphones and demand the satisfaction of a pair that actually work, head on over to the Replacement Program's website to see if you qualify.
