Patcher Ransomware Attacks macOS, Encrypts Files Permanently

Security researchers published details yesterday on a new ransomware for Mac, which calls itself "Patcher." The file-encrypting ransomware program finds its way onto macOS systems through BitTorrent websites, masquerading as an Adobe Premiere CC or Office 2016 patcher.
