The folks at security firm Lookout wrote up the scope of the problem (https://blog.lookout.com/blog/2017/03/27/mobile-safari-scareware/) and confirmed Apple repaired it in 10.3.</p><p>However, Lookout told me that the problem Jason Snell wrote about at Macworld in November 2016 (http://www.macworld.com/article/3142041/os-x/troubleshooting-some-nasty-safari-malware.html) wasn’t part of the macOS update.
