As first spotted by MacRumors (https://www.macrumors.com/2017/04/18/apple-imovie-garageband-iwork-free-for-all-users/), Apple on Tuesday updated GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers for Mac and iOS, so that those apps are now free. Before today, those apps were free to users who bought a new Mac, iPhone, or iPad, and the free download was a one-time event. Now the apps are free all the time.

Before Tuesday, the iOS versions of Keynote (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/keynote/id361285480), Pages (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id361309726), and Numbers (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/numbers/id361304891) were $10 each, while the Mac versions (https://www.apple.com/iwork/) were $20 each. On iOS, GarageBand (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/garageband/id408709785) and iMovie (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imovie/id377298193) were $5 each, while on the Mac, GarageBand (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/garageband/id682658836) was $5 and iMovie (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imovie/id408981434) was $15. You can save a considerable amount of coin if you’ve put off buying any of these apps.

To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here[/url]
