U.S. Senators Question Apple’s Move to Remove VPN Apps from Chinese App Store

U.S. Senators Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) have written a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook questioning the company’s tactics behind removing VPN apps from China’s App Store. These VPN apps made their way to the region’s App Store in July, and were removed shortly following the regulations which required such apps to go through the Chinese government first.
