Apple’s spring hardware release season has come and gone. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Apple update the iPad mini (https://9to5mac.com/guides/ipad-mini/), release a new iPad Air (https://9to5mac.com/2019/03/18/apple-announces-new-10-5-inch-ipad-air-and-ipad-mini-with-apple-pencil-support/), and launch new AirPods (http://9to5mac.com/guides/airpods). One iPad didn’t get an update, and that is the low-cost 9.7-inch iPad (https://amzn.to/2YkwdW1) aimed at education (https://9to5mac.com/guides/making-the-grade/). The budget iPad was released back in March of 2018 (https://9to5mac.com/2018/03/27/apple-event-live-blog/) at Apple’s education event. While I was underwhelmed (https://9to5mac.com/2018/03/28/making-the-grade-why-apples-education-strategy-is-not-based-on-reality/) by the actual event with how it related to Apple in the classroom, the $329 9.7-inch iPad is an excellent iPad, and nothing changes that today. With the education buying season kicking off, here is some information to consider when looking at the 9.7-inch iPad for education. more…[/url]
