Apple’s In-House 5G Modem Unlikely to Be Ready for 2022 iPhone

We have repeatedly heard that Apple plans to launch its 2020 iPhones with 5G. To achieve this timeline, the company will be sourcing 5G modems from Qualcomm. While Apple is also working on its in-house 5G modem, that is still unlikely to make its debut until at least 2021.
