I am currently looking to purchase an ASUS Maximus II Formula motherboard (http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&...amp;modelmenu=1). I would like to run both Vista 64 bit and Mac OS X on the computer if possible. I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed Mac OS X on this motherboard. If it can not be successfully installed, then I may have look at the ASUS Rampage Formula motherboard (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&...amp;modelmenu=1), but there are some features on the Maximus II Formula board that I prefer. Other system specs will be as follows: Thermaltake Xaser VI Case Thermaltake Toughpower 850W Modular Power Supply Q6600 CPU Zalman 9700 Cooler 2x2GB Corsair 8500 DDR2 w/ Cooling Fan BFG 8800 GTX Video Card 6 x 500 GB Seagate SATA Drives If anyone can let me know if they have had success or problems with the Maximus motherboard, I would greatly appreciate it. hopefully mb manufacturers will start taking the increasing number of hackintosh user and start doing up better support for us. |
