Title: Hard Disks Not Detected
Post by: SkyLogic on February 13, 2009, 09:29:57 pm
Hi all,

I'm trying to install Mac OS X 10.5.5 on my PC.
Basically, when it comes to selecting the destination disk I cant see any disks at all. Even when I go the Disk Utilities (where you would normally Erase and Partition a disk) it isnt seeing any HDD on the system, even though there's 3!!!
I can see my Firewire drive though.

Is this a SATA controller issue or am I just missing something simple?

Cheers.

HI !!

Yes it is a SATA controller problem. There is a configuration in the BIOS : u have to switch the harddisk mode to AHCI, then your problem with the undectable hardisks is solve.

AHCI is a IDE- MODE for SATA-Disks i think.
