Steam for Mac Kicks Off Week 3 with Half-Life 2
   


The third time’s the charm, as the saying goes, and Steam for Mac isn’t messing around on their third week.Valve Software announced Wednesday that Steam for Mac is kicking off its third week on the platform with another heaping helping of newly launched titles, including the Half-Life 2 series and EVE Online: Tyrannis.This week’s Steam for Mac releases brings Half-Life 2 to Mac gamers, including Half-Life 2, Half-Life: Episode One and Half-Life: Episode Two. All three titles now feature cross-platform support for Steam Cloud, which allows players to save their game progress on one computer and then seamlessly resume from the same point on another system, be it Mac or Windows.Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One have both been updated to include more than 40 new Steam Achievements, now available to all owners of the titles. All of the Half-Life 2 games support Steam Play, which enables customers to purchase a game once and then play it on all of the Steam supported platforms.To celebrate this week’s launch of the Half-Life 2 games, all three titles are available for a limited time at 30 percent off their regular price. Steam for Mac is also celebrating its first day and date release for both Mac and PC with EVE Online: Tyrannis, which will arrive in the Steam game store later today.
