Every year after WWDC, numerous UDID registration sites spring up in an attempt to cash in on the people’s eagerness to install iOS betas. The betas are ideally intended for registered iOS developers, who have to test their apps (as well as the OS) and iron out bugs, if any, on the new release.
Last month, Andy Baio wrote a piece for Wired that detailed the “cottage industry” that popped up around illicit UDID activations.
