Title: Have a Flash Drive Boot on Mac and PC
Post by: 53kyle on August 18, 2012, 02:14:30 am
What I was thinking of doing was building a hackintosh with an internal drive for backups and 2 flash drives for windows 8 and os x.

First of all, can I make a Usb flash drive hackintosh?

Second, after making the os x drive boot on a pc, will it still boot on Mac?

Third, will this work to make a windows 8 to-go drive and will it boot on Mac?

The reason I am asking is because I have a couple year old MacBook (for travel and surfing the web) and I want the new hackintosh for games, but I want them both to have the same boot drives.

I suppose you can but you have to format the usb with fat format. fat has disadvantage of writing files not larger than 4gb.
