Title: 3G iphone....
Post by: gearhead2069 on December 03, 2007, 06:14:59 am
All right I have info and questions.
First of all, I have been hearing rumors that Apple is planing to release a 2nd generation iphone that is going to support a much faster 3g network. After further examinations, I read that the CEO of AT&T, Randall Stephenson, has slipped up and admitted that a 3g iphone is indeed in production and should be coming out sometime in 2008. He never specified when in 08, but I'm am still really pumped about it.
I know that the current iphone supports a GSM network. This network is held but AT&T and T- mobil, (this is why we are able to unlock it for use with T-moble) but not Verizon Wireless. This an upset for me because I am subscribed with Verizon Wireless. The foundation for my excitement is that I am aware that Verizon Wireless runs on 3g.
My Question: Once Apple does in fact release the 3g version of the iphone, will it be possible to unlock the devise for use with Verizon?
