Apple granted patent to crowdsource network dead spots using geofences

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Apple another new patent related to Geofencing for “Location-based profile.” As described in the patent by Apple, it will make use of onboard GPS and network triangulation data to create a geofence in areas where users frequently drop calls and lose connectivity.
