Apple launches public betas for iOS 10 and macOS Sierra

Apple has released the first public beta versions of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra. Members of Apple's Beta Software Program can download the previews now on registered devices. The iOS 10 beta can be downloaded as an over-the-air update, while the macOS Sierra beta can be found in the Mac App Store's Update section.





Note that while iOS 10 and macOS Sierra are now in public beta, these are still beta releases. Features are not necessarily complete, and bugs are bound to crop up. If and when you encounter issues, you should use the Feedback Assistant app that Apple includes with the beta releases of its software.

Both systems are set to launch to the general public this fall. iOS 10 will feature a number of enhancements to the iPhone and iPad user experiences, such as new lock screen and notification features. Siri for third-party apps, and Messages improvements.
