Google Meet's 1-hour limit is back, but there's a new Individual tier

What you need to know


Google Meet's 1-hour time limit has returned as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
A new Google Workspace Individual plan has been made available for small business owners.


Individual is only available in select countries, however.

Google Meet's 1-hour time limit has returned, but a new Google Workspace Individual tier has been added to allow small business owners to enjoy calls that go longer than that when needed.

As reported by our friends at Android Central, Google announced Workspace Individual back in June but didn't provide many details about what it would offer. Now, we know that the tier is aimed at helping "individual business owners get more done, show up more professionally, and better serve their customers." The tier is obviously designed for single-person businesses and allows people to enjoy meetings of longer than an hour while also giving them access to noise cancellation, breakout rooms, shareable booking with Google Calendar, and more.
