Final Cut Pro is the go-to Mac app for serious Hollywood filmmakers, but the powerful video-editing software is getting easier to use for amateurs, too. Apple released
Final Cut Pro 10.2 and updates to companion aps Motion and Compressor on Monday with easy-to-use tools for 3D effects in title creation, faster video editing, and packing movies for sale in the iTunes Store.</p><p>
The updates are available today in the Mac App Store as free updates for existing users, or $300 for Final Cut Pro 10.2, and $50 each for Motion 5.2 and Compressor 4.2.</p><p>
The major Final Cut Pro upgrade includes 3D titles, better masking tools for effects and color grading, GPU-accelerated RED RAW processing (even dual GPU support for Mac Pros), and adds support for video formats like Panasonic AVC-Ultra and Sony XAVC-S. You can now optimize RED RAW files 2.5 times faster than in the previous version of Final Cut Pro,
