Next Apple Watch once again rumored to untether itself from the iPhone

Apple is reportedly planning to add cellular connectivity to the second-generation Apple Watch. With a cellular connection, the watch would be able to gain more independence from the iPhone, some thing that the company has reportedly been working towards since before the launch of the first watch.

From The Wall Street Journal:

There are relatively easy fixes for some concerns. Apple is working on adding cell-network connectivity and a faster processor to its next-generation Watch, according to people familiar with the matter.

In addition to these new features, Apple is said to be focusing primarily on internal improvements for its next iteration of the Apple Watch. The next version will reportedly keep the look of the current watch, and is said to be set for a fall debut alongside the iPhone 7.
