Apple launching iOS development accelerator in BengaluruApple has announced that it is opening an iOS app design and development accelerator in Bengaluru, India. The facility will include members of Apple's team working with thousands of developers in India to "hone their skills and transform the design, quality and performance of their apps" on iOS.
Calling India one of the "most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world," Tim Cook laid out the vision for the facility. Aspiring developers will be able to receive one-on-one app reviews, learn up on the Swift programming language, and get assistance from Apple's team.
The facility will open sometime early next year. Tim Cook is currently visiting India, where the executive is expected to inaugurate Apple's $25 million facility in Hyderabad. A meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also allegedly on the cards.
