The island customization in Animal Crossing: New Horizons through terraforming is one of the reasons it is on the list of best Nintendo Switch games. Plus, it is one of coolest ways you get to make your island paradise your own. Create rivers, ponds, and cliffs, lay down custom paths, and more! Of course, you can't terraform right off the bat; you have to earn it first.
Though the feature looks cool (and it is), it takes quite a bit of work to unlock. You won't have it for at least a week or two after getting the game (unless you Time Travel), and when you unlock it, you'll only have limited options until you buy the rest with Nook Miles.
