Apple's supply chain head Jeff Williams to speak at this year's Code Conference

Apple's Senior Vice President of Operations, Jeff Williams, will be one of the featured speakers at Re/code's 2015 Code Conference.

Jeff Williams manages Apple's supply chain, a job he inherited from current Apple CEO Tim Cook. It's likely that Williams' discussion at Code will go in depth on Apple's latest product, the Apple Watch, a project that Williams apparently manages, and ResearchKit, which Williams introduced on stage at Apple's "Spring Forward" event in March.

From Re/code:

But few know that two years ago Cook tapped him to also manage the development of the Apple Watch, the first new product category the tech giant has entered in five years. Williams is also the one driving the company's health initiatives, including ResearchKit, Apple's effort to bolster medical and health research.

The Code Conference, which this year will run from May 26-28 in Ranch Palos Verdes, California, features talks with several important figures in technology. This will be the second year for the conference. Last year's speakers included Apple SVPs Craig Federighi and Eddy Cue. This year's conference speakers also include GM CEO Mary Barra, Xiaomi's Hugo Barra, and Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure.

Source: Re/code
