Former iOS chief Scott Forstall talks Broadway and his feelings on Apple in new interview

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">Scott Forstall, formerly Apple's chief of iOS Software, has opened up about the new Broadway musical that he has produced, "Fun Home".</p> <p>Forstall, who served as the head of iOS Software at Apple until 2012, has made his return to the public eye with "Fun Home," a Broadway musical based on the memoir of cartoonist Alison Bechdel.<!--break--> Forstall says that he decided to co-produce the musical after the script left a deep impression on him. When speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Forstall also made his first public statement about Apple since he departed from the company.</p>
<p>Asked about the split, Mr. Forstall said he was "so proud of the thousands of people I worked with [
at Apple] and with whom I remain friends. I am delighted that they continue to turn out great and beloved products."</p> <p>Forstall was a long-time Apple employee, coming to the company following its purchase of NeXT in 1997. From 2007 to 2012, Forstall served as the Senior Vice President of iOS Software at Apple, leading the development of the operating system behind the iPhone, and later, the iPad.
