Mercedes-Benz will launch its own Apple Watch app this fall

Mercedes-Benz is the latest car maker to reveal plans for its own Apple Watch app. The MB Companion App will be available this fall.

[/url]

Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz plans to give some of its car owners some extra features in the form of their Apple Watch app, the MB Companion App. Due for launch this fall, the MB Companion App will work at first with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and S-Class series of vehicles, with more models to follow. One of its features will allow owners to get precise destination directions, even when they park their car:

The destination that the driver selects on Apple Watch is passed to Mercedes-Benz COMAND Online once the driver starts the vehicle. He then receives safe and non-distracting driving directions to his selected destination from Mercedes-Benz navigation. When the driver parks and leaves his car, Apple Watch gives him walking directions to the final destination making it the perfect guide for "Last Mile Navigation".

Some of the other things the MB Companion App will be able to show on the Apple Watch will be the car's fuel level, its current range, its maintenance code, and the car's odometer readings.

Source: Mercedes-Benz
