Is Apple Seeking a Camera Guru for the iPad?

iPad haters may soon have one less thing to gripe about if Apple has
their way. According to Cult of Mac, Cupertino has been actively seeking an iPad Camera Engineer since February 9th. From the look of the job description, the camera, should it be included in the next iteration of the iPad, or as an accessory add on, will be a feature-rich still shot and video beast: The Media Systems team is looking for a software quality engineer with a strong technical background to test still, video and audio capture and playback frameworks. Build on your QA experience and knowledge of digital camera technology (still and video) to develop and maintain testing frameworks for both capture and playback pipelines…Experience with tuning of and image pipeline, including, but not limited to AWB, Color Correction, AutoExposure, FrameRate adjustments is a plus. For those thinking of submitting a resume, the gotta have it list for this one is steep: Apple expects all applicants to have a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience, 3+ years experience in Software QA and a truck load of arcane computer and digital imaging knowledge. The full text of the ad can be viewed by dropping by Apple's corporate site.
