iOS 8 unicode crash bug. The issue causes Messages to crash or reboot when a specific Unicode string was received. Apple's fix involves a three-step process that utilizes
Siri.<!--break--></p> <p>From
Apple:</p>
<ol><li>Ask Siri to "read unread messages."</li> <li>Use Siri to reply to the malicious message. After you reply, you'll be able to open Messages again.</li> <li>In Messages, swipe left to delete the entire thread. Or tap and hold the malicious message, tap More, and delete the message from the thread.</li> </ol>
<p>Apple also notes that they will offer a software update with a fix. There are also a number of
steps you can take to prevent crashes from your lock screen, on your
