Samsung may bump up Galaxy Note 5's launch to avoid Apple's new iPhone

On August 29, 2012, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note II. Two weeks later Apple announced the iPhone 5. On September 4, 2013, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3. Six days later Apple announced the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. On September 3, 2014 Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 4. Six days later Apple announced the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Are you getting it?</p><p>

Hoping to maintain a little more distance between the Note series and the iPhone, Samsung is apparently breaking with tradition. The company plans to bump up the debut of the Galaxy Note 5 in 2015 to mid-August, according to The Wall Street Journal.
