Report: More Americans are getting their daily news fix from Facebook and Twitter

<p>Facebook and Twitter are increasingly becoming a source for front-page news.</p><p>A new report released on Wednesday by the Pew Research Center and the Knight Foundation found that 63 percent of American Facebook and Twitter users rely on the social networks to get their daily news. The last time a similar survey was conducted in 2013, 52 percent of Twitter users and 47 percent of Facebook users said they used social media to get their news fix.</p><p>This increase is not just attributed to younger generations, Pew clarified.
