New Apple TV said to be coming with a lighter, brighter look

The new Apple TV will reportedly make its debut alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in early September, with several hardware and software enhancments coming along with it. The new and improved box is once again said to include an A8 system-on-a-chip, as well as a brand new remote with a built-in touchpad. However, it will still reportedly maintain the basic grid view.

While the new system is likely to improve the current scrolling list of large icons, we are told that the general aesthetic will be similar to the current look.

As has been often reported, this new Apple TV is said to include support for third-party apps. The new software will also apparently include iOS 9's proactive search, collecting data from these new apps to help improve search results.

Source: 9to5Mac
