Tim Cook discusses iPhone 6s, Steve Jobs and Apple ethics with Stephen Colbert

[/url]

Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared on Stephen Colbert's The Late Show last night, discussing the new iPhone 6s, the late Steve Jobs, Apple's charity work, as well as Cook's own personal life. Colbert threw in a few curve balls too, questioning Tim Cook about when he came out and confirmed his sexuality. Overall, it was a light-hearted interview, allowing the CEO to promote his company and its products.

Touching on Steve Jobs, Cook paid his respects to his predecessor, noting how he is sorely missed by Cook and presumably the company as a whole. It was revealed that Tim Cook is not a fan of the opportunistic attempts to release movies about Steve Jobs that portray him in a questionable fashion. As captured by 9to5Mac from the aired show:

"I haven't seen them, but the Steve I knew was an amazing human being. He's someone that you wanted to do your best work for He invented things that I think other people could not. He solved things other people could not. He had this uncanny ability to see around the corner and to describe to the future. He was a joy to work with and I love him and I miss him every day. I think a lot of people are trying to be opportunistic and I hate this. It's not a great part of our world."

As for confirming his sexuality, Cook notes that he felt as though it was something he had to do in order to assist those who may be bullied because of their sexuality. Not to mention pushing forward Apple's plan when it comes to leaving the world in better shape than the company found it. This is reflected by how Apple is working to protect its employees, as well as charity events and safeguarding the environment.

Via: 9to5Mac
