The trailer shows off a lot of quick editing cuts combined with what looks like electronic music and split-screens that show three eras in the life of Steve Jobs.

The film itself looks at Jobs, played by actor Michael Fassbender, first as he debuts the original Macintosh in 1984, then moves forward several years as he introduces his new company NeXT after his departure from Apple. The final part of the film shows Jobs, after his return to Apple, showing off the first iMac in a press conference in 1998.

The movie, which was written by Aaron Sorkin, is based on the biography of Apple's co-founder by Walter Isaacson. Along with Fassbender, "Steve Jobs" features Seth Rogen as Apple's other co-founder Steve Wozniak, along with Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley. The movie opens in New York and Los Angeles theaters on October 9 and in other theaters in the US later in October.

Source: Universal (YouTube)
