[/url]

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56 due to the effects of pancreatic cancer. Marking the 4th anniversary of his death, company CEO Tim Cook sent an internal email to his employees to mark the occasion.

The Telegraph posted a copy of the email. Cook wrote, "We at Apple lost a leader, a mentor, and many of us lost a dear friend." He added:

What is his legacy? I see it all around us: An incredible team that embodies his spirit of innovation and creativity. The greatest products on earth, beloved by customers and empowering hundreds of millions of people around the world. Soaring achievements in technology and architecture. Experiences of surprise and delight. A company that only he could have built. A company with an intense determination to change the world for the better.

The 4th anniversary of Jobs' passing comes just a few days before a big-budget biopic of his life, titled simply "Steve Jobs", will be released in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles on October 9, and expanding nationwide later in October.

Source: The Telegraph
