MacID adds support for secondary iPhones and iPads

MacID, an application that lets you unlock your Mac using Touch ID on your iPhone, has been updated to version 1.3. At the same time, the companion app for iPhone and iPad has also been updated. With these updates, MacID now supports unlocking your Mac from multiple iOS devices.

You can now add a secondary device to MacID to unlock your Mac. It should be noted that proximity wake and auto-lock only work with your primary device. Additionally, if you remove your primary device from MacID, the secondary device will become your primary one. MacID for Mac has also added support for AppleScript text files and hiding the Menu Bar icon, along with numerous other improvements and fixes.

As for the iPhone and iPad app, it now supports several features from iOS 9 and Apple's new iPhones. MacID for iOS has support for Spotlight search, allowing you to unlock your Mac from search. It also supports 3D Touch, quick actions to unlock up to four recent Macs. If you don't have 3D Touch, you can also create a new Home screen shortcut to quickly unlock your Mac as well. As an added bonus, the app also takes advantage of App Thinning so it won't take up as much space on your device.

You can download MacID for Mac from the app's website, while the iPhone and iPad app can be purchased from the App Store.

Free - Download Now

$3.99 - Download Now[/url]
