'60 Minutes' gives us an inside look at how Apple functions

CBS' Charlie Rose went to the Apple campus for a full-length feature on 60 Minutes, offering viewers an inside look into the company's design labs, upcoming spaceship campus and retail store overhaul. Tim Cook started off the discussion by talking about encryption, and why Apple won't be building any backdoors: If there's a way to get in, somebody will find the way in. There have been people who suggest that we should have a back door. But the reality is if you put a back door in, that back door's for everybody, for good guys and bad guys. Cook also talked about what it takes to get into Apple: You look for people who work for a different reason. People who want to change the world and work with a passion and an idealism. People that don't take no for an answer. People that don't accept the status quo. People that inherently aren't satisfied with things.
