Facebook rolls out Live Photo support to some users

Facebook is rolling out support for Live Photos to its app for iPhone and iPad. Anyone using iOS 9 or later can view Live Photos, but you'll need an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus to actually post such a photo. The feature is also rolling out only to a small subset of users for now. From The Verge: Facebook isn't rolling it out to every user right away, but instead giving the feature to a small group of users now with a global rollout that won't finish until next year. Facebook has already added support for Apple's 3D Touch on its iOS app icon, with shortcuts to take a photo, upload a photo, or post directly. Live Photos were introduced with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. When taking a photo, your phone will keep the moments directly before and after the actual picture itself. When you activate a Live Photo with a 3D Touch press, you'll see a short video. Tumblr was the first major social network to add support for Live Photos, which they did earlier this month.
