Hunter Fan Company debuts duo of HomeKit-enabled ceiling fansThe smart home craze is set to take on anything and everything in your home, and nowhere is that more evident than in Hunter Fan Company's newly-announced HomeKit-enabled ceiling fans. Revealed at CES 2016, Hunter Fan has debuted two ceiling fans, called the Symphony and Signal, that interact with HomeKit, allowing users to easily control them using just their connected Apple device. With HomeKit, you can use Siri to control either fan or a group of fans independently. Further, you can set up custom scenes and triggers to interact with the fans along with other HomeKit-enabled devices. One example given by Hunter is to have a custom scene set to turn on the fan's light, lock your doors, and set the thermostat to a certain temperature. Going a step further, you could set the fan lights to automatically turn on when the fire alarm detects smoke.
