Samsung's Gear S2 smartwatch will be compatible with iOS later this year

During its CES 2016 press conference, Samsung announced that its latest wearable, the Gear S2, will be compatible with iOS later this year. Unfortunately, Samsung didn't provide any other details or expand on how functional the smartwatch will be when tethered to an iPhone, but it's coming nonetheless. The Gear S2 runs on Samsung's own Tizen OS rather than Android Wear, and it originally launched with compatibility with select Android devices, in addition to Samsung's own offerings. It will be interesting to see if Samsung makes any inroads with iPhone users, especially given the Gear S2's direct competition, the Apple Watch.
