Fire at Foxconn's main iPhone plant in China won't impact production, no injuries reportedAuthorities are investigating after a fire broke out at Foxconn's primary iPhone manufacturing facility in Zhengzhou, China. The fire broke out on Sunday, Jan. 24, with no fatalities reported. From The Wall Street Journal: Local authorities said they are investigating the cause of the fire. The fire began in the central air conditioning fan and ventilation ducts on the roof of one of Foxconn's Zhengzhou plants, according to a statement on the website of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, the industrial area where Foxconn's factories are located. Zhengzhou is the capital of central China's Henan province. Outside of confirming that the blaze took place, Foxconn would only say that production at the facility would not be impacted. However, it seems that the fire raged across several floors of the facility, so it seems likely that there would be at least a small effect on production.
