Apple Stores in Japan begin offering screen protector installationsWhile it was originally reported to start rolling out over the course of several weeks, it now appears that at least some Apple Retail Stores in Japan are now offering to apply screen protectors to iPhones. The process utilizes a machine from Belkin, a popular third-party case and screen protector manufacturer, and appears to focus only on the iPhone 6 or newer, with one machine for 4.7-inch iPhones, and another for 5.5-inch Plus-model iPhones. The machines were spotted by Mac Otakara, who also shot the following video of the installation process. This service has so far only popped up in Japan, but it has been reported to start rolling out globally in the next few weeks. It costs between ¥2,180 ($18.60) and ¥4280 ($36.51).
