9.7-inch iPad Pro's display gets put to the testThe display for the new, 9.7-inch iPad Pro has received a detailed breakdown from DisplayMate, detailing the its colors, brightness, the True Tone and Night Shift features, and more. Comparing it to the screen on the iPad Air 2, DisplayMate called the iPad Pro a "major upgrade" in display quality. One of the major upgrades with the iPad Pro's display over the Air 2 has to do with color, with the Pro featuring two color gamuts, according to DisplayMate: The iPad Pro 9.7 has two standard Color Gamuts, the new DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut that is used in 4K UHD TVs and Digital Cinema, and also the traditional smaller sRGB / Rec.709 Color Gamut that is used for producing virtually all current consumer content for digital cameras, TVs, the internet, and computers, including photos, videos, and movies.
