Apple and WWF raised over $8 million with Apps for Earth campaign

Apple has announced at WWDC 2016 that its Apps for Earth campaign, a joint effort with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), raised over $8 million. The money, raised through purchases of select apps in the App Store, went to help fund the WWF's conservation efforts.





The campaign took place in April, with participation by 24 developers. For 10 days, 100% of all proceeds of purchases through select apps on the App Store, including in-app purchases, went to the WWF. Participating apps included VSCO Cam, Angry Birds 2, Line, and Procreate.
