As per Shinya Takahashi, general manager of entertainment planning and development at Nintendo, the company plans on focusing on “smart device development,” including a controller for smartphones to aid gaming. In its recent annual shareholders meeting, the company decided to dedicate a significant amount of its resources to develop new software for tablets and smartphones.
