Taking over a gym in Pokémon Go isn't just for the prestige and the XP value — you can get some sweet rewards, too, thanks to the Defender Bonus. You can collect this bonus any time you've taken over one or more gyms; the more gyms you collect, the higher bonus you'll receive. Here's how to go about it.
How to claim your Defender's Bonus in Pokémon Go
Tap the PokeBall icon along the bottom center of the screen.
Tap the Shop icon, located in the middle right of the screen.
Tap the Shield button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Tap the reward box to return to the Shop.
How many PokeCoins and how much Stardust do I get?
The reward you receive depends on how many gyms you've conquered. Put a Pokémon in one gym, and you'll pick up:
