How to enable Single Sign-On for your iPhone or iPad on iOS 10.2

If you're running the latest iOS beta, you can log in to the Single Sign-On feature if you've got the right cable provider. Here's how!

Following the release of the first set of beta versions of iOS 10.2, Apple has quietly flipped a switch on the Single Sign-On for cable providers. Once fully implemented, apps that require cable subscription credentials to access certain content won't need you to keep signing in instead getting your login data from iOS.

Before you rush off to download the beta, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, Single Sign-On is only available in the developer and public beta versions of iOS 10.2, software that isn't ready for public consumption. Second, the feature is only supported by a small group of cable companies at the moment, and apps have not yet been updated to look for Single Sign-On data.

But if you really want to test it out, you can do so, even if there's not a lot there at the moment.
