Founder of WiFi mapping company acquired by Apple departs to lead Stanford startup accelerator

<p>Back in 2013, Apple quietly acquired indoor smartphone locating company WiFiSlam for around $20 million. The company, founded by Joseph Huang, aimed to construct indoor mapping solutions using WiFi signals.</p>
<p>According to TechCrunch, however, Huang has now departed Apple to take over the reigns as CEO of StartX, the startup accelerator that helped launch WiFiSlam in the first place.</p>
